*slipping over the mossy yellow bricks* Thanks for the warning if I am walking by this way again I will remember it..... *gets up rubbing her sitting end* We are now half way into a wet, cold, dark and slippery yellow brick path...deep in a mountain cave.
So why are we doing this

FLU SEASON
To avoid it

Eat right!
Make sure you get your daily dose of fruit and veggies.Take your vitamins and bump up your vitamin C.
Get plenty of exercise because it builds your immune system.
Walk for at least an hour a day,
Go for a swim,
Take the stairs instead of the lift, etc.
Wash your hands often.
If you can't, keep a bottle of antibacterial stuff around.
Get lots of fresh air.
Open doors & windows whenever possible.
Try to eliminate as much stress from your life as you can.
Get plenty of rest.

OR

Take the doctor's approach. Think about it...
When you go for a flu jab, what do they do first?
They Clean your arm with alcohol...
Why? Because Alcohol KILLS GERMS.
So.......

I walk to the pub. (exercise)
I put lime in my vodka...(fruit)
Celery in my Bloody Mary (veggie)
Drink outdoors on the patio..(fresh air)
Tell rude jokes and laugh....(eliminate stress)
Then I pass out. (rest)

The way I see it...

If you keep your alcohol levels up,
Flu germs Can't get you.

As my grandmother always said,
'A shot in the glass
Is better than one in the arse!'

Always keep several get well cards on the mantle...
so if unexpected guests arrive, they will think you've been sick and unable to clean.

A funny thing happened to me the other day,when l decided to purchase a very special horse that was going for a good price,because of it�s religious beliefs.

I handed the money over to the seller to purchase this religious horse.The seller told me how to ride this horse.lf you want it to go,you have to say �thank you lord� and if you want it to stop,you have to say,�oh my God�.

I was riding off into the sunset and was struck down by one of those senior moments of forgetfulness.l was scared not knowing how to stop the horse and shouted all sorts of religious quotes that just made the horse gallop a lot faster.

I could see l was approaching the cliff edge and naturally blurted out a quote of �oh my god�and the horse stopped just at the edge of the cliff.

�phew�,l said,thank you lord.

The doctor, after an examination, sighed and said, "I've some bad news.. You have advanced cancer, and you had best put your affairs in order."

The woman was shocked, but managed to compose herself and walk into the Waiting room where her daughter had been waiting.

"Well my daughter, we women celebrate when things are good, and we celebrate when things don't go so well. In this case, things are not too well. I have cancer. Let's head to the club and have a martini."

After 3 or 4 martinis, the two were feeling a little less somber. There were some laughs and more martinis. They were eventually approached by some of the woman's old friends, who were curious as to what the two were celebrating.

The woman told her friends they were drinking to her impending end. "I've been diagnosed with AIDS."

The friends were aghast, gave the woman their condolences and beat a hasty retreat. After the friends left, the woman's daughter leaned over and whispered, "Momma, I thought you said you were dying of cancer, and you just told your friends you were dying of AIDS! Why did you do that?"

"Because I don't want any of those bitches sleeping with your father after I'm gone."
